Description

Hi!

Users tend to click on "config" button after install.
And if they hit http://127.0.0.1:7657/config they see ALL config options and are lost.
Hide the unneeded options better.
Also rephrase and tell people: I2P works with default, but change the settings to gain better speed.

Please explain more. I am confused:

/console only has THREE options shown (bandwidth in, bandwidth out, and share %).

Or do you mean the 15 tabs at the top? To me, that's as hidden as we can make it.

Or do you mean /confignet? And the phrase "The default settings will work for most people. There is help below." ?

zzz, I think echelon mean: http://127.0.0.1:7657/config
In english "I2P INTERNALS". In french, it is still translated as "CONFIGURATION" (I still can't figure how to translate it in something short), and perhaps in others languages too.

thanks hummingbird, but I would have liked to hear from OP, and he hasn't responded in 3 years.

The /config page is simple. The /confignet page is not, but it's for advanced use. In addition, with continuing IPv6 issues such as #1752 it's going to get more complex, not less. They are all needed (as advanced options).
