I think it would be usefull for testers and advanced users if there was a way to add short lines of custom text into the wrapper and/or router logs.

The main purpose would be bug-hunting, but there may be other uses…

as an example, I could go to the log page in the router and enter a line of text into and input box above the log and click an ADD button.

The result would be something like…

2014/01/20 XX:12:14 | INFO: BOB is now running.
2014/01/20 XX:12:22 | 2014-01-20 XX:11:22.847:INFO:oejs.Server:jetty-7.6.14.v20131031
2014/01/20 XX:11:36 | 2014-01-20 XX:11:35.857:INFO:oejs.Server:jetty-7.6.14.v20131031
2014/01/20 XX:45:00 | USER_ENTRY*: Starting buggy app or plugin

or maybe;
2014/01/20 XX:45:00 | USER_ENTRY*: Seeing what happens when setting bandwidth to 10X default

Then you could see in logs when you activated something that might not make a log entry when it starts and more quickly see the point where a change makes a difference…

It's better for usability, and non-*nix systems.
