Description

On OSX the wrapper, application and runplain.sh is gonna show the java process in the Dock. This issue started on the last OSX release (10.10). Currently the issue is that the java process which is, or not, a child, is showing in the Dock'er, which an background process shouldn't display at all. Currently testing new ways, and is open for suggestions. More or less it seemed like Apple not made an dock icon of spawning child processes, but does now in 10.10.

Forcing -Djava.awt.headless=true to be set, seemed to solve this issue.

comment:2 Changed 5 years ago by Meeh

Also possible to fix via the export JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS='-Djava.awt.headless=true' method.
