#1541 closed defect (fixed)

announce configuration (transports)

Reported by: echelon Owned by: zzz
Priority: minor Milestone: 0.9.20
Component: router/transport Version: 0.9.19

Parent Tickets:

My home node of I2P is behind a carrier grade NAT for IPv4 and has IPv6 native (DS-Lite).
I2P sees a valid IPv4 and IPv6 address, but connections from external does only come in on IPv6, IPv4 incoming is dead (NAT).
Now with all auto it does only announce the IPv4 transports and this does not work quite well.
I2P detects the (correct) full IPv4 address and think it is reachable and does announce this. But it is not.
I wish a feature to disable announces for a special transport, but keeping the transport intact. E.g. manually configure:

  • IPv4 on TCP and UDP outgoing OK, incoming NONE
  • IPv6 announce as IN and OUT transport

But if #1458 is fixed, is this necessary? I'd rather put the effort into #1458, which I'm currently working on. Or at least see how good the fix for that is before addressing this one.

Yes, please first #1458 - if that works well, fine. Result should be the same.
