#1838 open enhancement

Add tooltips to I2PSnark that show exact byte counts where larger units are shown in the UI

One thing that I wish Snark had was more precise data sizes in the UI. If I want to know if the application has successfully seeded some data overnight (for example), it can be difficult to determine this if all I have to go by is "208 GB" at the bottom of the "Uploaded" column, especially since many streams are quite slow. I think that adding a Tooltip when hovering over any of these approximate data amounts that shows the exact byte count would be useful, and hopefully not very hard to implement. Thanks!

Interesting suggestion.
Would exact values on the details page be better?
What about last-downloaded and last-uploaded times on the details page?

I can see how a tooltip when hovering over the total uploaded value would be useful.

As the post describes, when someone has uploaded say 208 GB, adds a small torrent, say 100 MB, and it is downloaded by a couple of peers, the total upload count could still say 208 GB. A tooltip that shows exact amount, 208.300 GB for example, would show the user how much data has been uploaded. If it were 100x 1 MB torrents, it would be difficult and time consuming to check upload counts on each but a look at the exact total upload amount would give a rough indication as to how much data has been transferred since the user was using i2psnark last.

A tooltip would add clutter.
With the change to fancy progress bars in .31, we have even less space for additional precision.

The only thing I'd consider is last-downloaded and last-uploaded (or maybe just last activity) dates on the details page.

Maybe a Past X Hours activity on the details page? Don't know how many people would actually find that to be useful information though.
