#2174 closed defect (fixed)

Susimail reports "No new messages" when it fails to connect to the server after a manual connection attempt

Reported by: Reportage Owned by: zzz

Description

If Susimail cannot connect to the server to check for mail, it should report the fact in a notification. Currently it appears that any and all attempts to manually check for mail that fail report "No new messages", which is not entirely accurate.

Yeah still some things to clean up here, things are still a little hackish internally.
Also, and probably related, re-checking mail before the last check disconnects from the server (usually within 5 minutes) doesn't work, always just says 'no new messages' but it doesn't actually re-check at all.

OK one problem is there's an "info" box that's displayed on top of an "error" box, it's a little translucent so you can almost see the red text of errors underneath. I'll be fixing that shortly to combine the errors and infos into a single box.
