where do you propose to put it? summary (side) bar, hidden services of interest, applications and configuration? or on the top or bottom?

if in the summary bar, in an existing section, or a new one?

some of the options are more table-driven, others may give us more freedom but be more work. None of it's that hard, but needs to be finished by tag freeze.

As discussed on a call with you, another option is to copy the whole donate page from the website into the console, with modifications as necessary.

Could we have a banner that sits above news?

sure, you want it there all the time, or you want it to look like a news entry, and appear and disappear with the news, using the show news / hide news buttons?

If it does come and go with the news, do you also want it on /console (when news is visible) and /news?

Of course, if you want it to look like news, you could just post a news entry now, and repost it periodically… no need for any code or styling. Do it today if you like.
