Reported by: ReturningNovice Owned by: zzz

Not sure exactly when this started… but up to -4 it's still an issue.

Creating a tunnel works fine, starting it using it, etc…

it's just gone from the tunnel setup after router restart.

I2P version: 0.8.3-4

Jbigi: Locally optimized native BigInteger? library loaded from the library path
Encoding: ISO8859-1

very odd.
Permissions problems on i2ptunnel.config?
Any particular type of tunnel?
After saving, see if ~/.i2p/i2ptunnel.config contains the changes.
Also look in $I2P/i2ptunnel.config, maybe it got confused and updated the wrong file (unless you aren't using split directories, in which case it's the right file)
Can you change the settings on an existing tunnel and have that reflected in i2ptunnel.config?

Mostly irc tunnels… going to try to duplicate… adding a new tunnel (one that had disapeared)…

permissions : -rwxr-xrwx 1 root i2p 10K (date) i2ptunel.config

Tunnel working…

closing client connection.

waiting for tunnels to expire
then I'll restart and see if it sticks…

to clarify, irc client and irc server tunnels

chmod 777 solved the problem… for now… I noted in the log that it complained about not being able write out the file, though in the tunnel manager's log window it only says "changes saved"

Though I'm still curious why the permissions changed… was working before…

ok, need to fix the log window message at least to indicate failure

it may be trying and failing to set the permissions to 600, it got to 757 and failed?

Message fixed in -5.
No idea why the permissions would be set to 757, if that reoccurs please reopen the ticket.
