Please report the file sizes and md5sums of /usr/lib/jni/libjbigi.so and /usr/lib/jni/libcpuid.so

correction libjcpuid.so

comment:3 Changed 8 years ago by zzz

Did the crash only happen once or does it happen every time?

p.s. the PNG graph rendering error does not appear to be related.

comment:4 Changed 8 years ago by DISABLED

Hi zzz,

The md5sums of libcpuid.so are : 987337dfdea7346ef7a92c605ae74eb1 libjcpuid.so

size: 5.8 kio

i get a crash every 5 or 6 days but this one was the first time

Ok I was thinking that the .so files in /usr/lib/jni were static and maybe the wrong one was there, my bad, of course they are dynamic. So maybe libgmp needs updating or something. Will ask kytv for help.

comment:8 Changed 8 years ago by killyourtv

Cc: killyourtv@… added

It looks like the same version of gmp is in Lucid → Natty (http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=libgmp3-dev&searchon=names&suite=all&section=all) so gmp shouldn't be the culprit.

OS:Ubuntu 10.04 (lucid)
uname:Linux 2.6.38-10-generic #46~lucid1-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jul 6 18:41:04 UTC 2011 x86_64
libc:glibc 2.11.1 NPTL 2.11.1

…and your version of Java matches Lucid's. But your kernel is slightly older than the one in Natty.

What Ubuntu version is this? I know you said above that it is Natty, but the logs show that it is Lucid. If it really is Natty I'd recommend upgrading your version of Java to the one that is included in Natty ("sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get -u dselect-upgrade").

Note: I'm not saying this is the cause but back a few months ago I had problems with faulty memory. During that time my I2P was also aborting every few days with a signal 6. It /might/ be something to look into…

comment:9 Changed 8 years ago by DISABLED

hi killyourtv,

strange , i use the last backported kernel, so i don't understand… here are the version:

Description: Ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS
Release: 10.04

Linux 2.6.38-10-generic #46~lucid1-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jul 6
18:41:04 UTC 2011 x86_64 GNU/Linux

PS: i am sorry for my mistake… this server are Lucid and not natty.. ;)

comment:10 Changed 8 years ago by killyourtv

About the version mix-up, no problem. :)

…though of course that doesn't explain the crashes.

Also I2P and jbigi/jcpuid are built on Lucid systems so it cannot be a problem with having the wrong library version installed…

I don't know what is causing the problem. :/

comment:11 Changed 8 years ago by zzz

can you verify the version of libgmp that is installed?

comment:12 Changed 8 years ago by DISABLED

Hi zzz,

The version installed on my system are : libgmp3c2 -2:4.3.2+dfsg-1ubuntu1 amd64

best regrads

comment:13 Changed 8 years ago by zzz

Are all the crashes similar, i.e. in:

net.i2p.util.NativeBigInteger?.nativeModPow([B[B[B)[B+0

???

If so, I really have no good ideas at all.

If the crashes are all different, it may be indicative of flaky RAM.
