#717 closed enhancement (fixed)

Another fallback for UrlLauncher.java on linux

Description

a common method for applications to open urls is to use xdg-open $url. This method allows an application to not have to care about what i2p's UrlLauncher? is trying to do here. The linux desktop environment tells xdg what the default browser is.

so a proposal is to perhaps try this method first (or 2nd after "sensible-browser")

also,
_shellCommand.executeSilentAndWait("regedit /E \"" + foo.getAbsolutePath() + "\" \"HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\\http\\shell\\open\\command\"");

this should be re-verified if still working correctly, its been reported on a windows 7 machine with mozilla firefox set as default, iexplore.exe still got executed instead
